According to Citizenship Insider sources, global citizenship firm Henley and Partners may have blundered into the Russian hacking investigation currently underway in the US of A.
Henley’s potentially serious problem stems from the efforts by a since fired managing partner to obtain a diplomatic passport from Grenada for a Ukrainian businessman for the sum of one million dollars.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that any mention of questionable Ukrainian individuals with large sums of money is going to attract the attention of one Robert Mueller and his crack team of legal beagles sniffing around such matters.
According reports in Caribbean media, not only did Henley make matters worse for themselves by lying in a press statement, their own lawyers promptly threw them under the bus by volunteering that such action is a criminal offense under the relevant US law. Oops….
